Zoko pricing for Indian Shopify stores: the USD plans, the per-conversation fee, and what a month costs in rupees

Zoko charges in dollars, bills WhatsApp through Meta directly, and sells its inbox, Instagram and automations as separate lines. That is honest, and it means the number on the pricing page is rarely the number on the invoice. We worked it through for a Shopify store in Pune.

The short version

  • As read on 11 Oct 2026, Zoko lists four monthly plans in USD: Starter $49.99, Plus $79.99, Elite $139.99 and Max $499.99. Its page says charges are always in USD; there is no rupee price.
  • Starter includes no conversations and charges $0.015 per conversation; Plus includes 5,000 a month with a $0.00199 overage. Agents are unlimited on Starter, then 5, 10 and 30 with extra seats at $15, $12 and $9.
  • Instagram is a flat $9.99 a month on every plan. Premium automation flows are $5.99 per flow a month, and the AI add-ons are $24.99 each plus a per-resolution or per-order fee.
  • WhatsApp's own message charges are paid to Meta directly at Meta's rate card, so for an Indian store that is ₹0.8631 per marketing and ₹0.1150 per utility message on top of the plan.

Zoko is a WhatsApp platform built around Shopify: you install it as a Shopify app, your orders sit beside the chat, and abandoned-cart and order-update flows come ready-made. It also does two things most Indian providers do not. It charges only in US dollars, and it stays out of Meta’s billing entirely, so WhatsApp’s message fees are a separate relationship between you and Meta.

We read its pricing page on 11 October 2026. Here is what it lists, what it costs in rupees, and where the extra lines come from.

The four plans

PlanMonthly feeConversations includedOverage per conversationAgents includedExtra agent
Starter$49.99None, pay as you go$0.015UnlimitedNot applicable
Plus$79.995,000$0.001995$15
Elite$139.99100,000$0.0009910$12
Max$499.995 million$0.0004930$9

The figures above are the monthly fees; the page also offers yearly billing, with discounted pricing for brands committing to 250,000 or more conversations a month on an annual plan, arranged by contact. There is no rupee price. “Zoko charges are always in USD,” it says. There is a 7-day free trial, no contract, and every plan includes a block of WhatsApp calling minutes, from 500 on Starter to 4,000 on Max, with per-minute overages.

A “conversation” is Zoko’s own unit for its platform fee, not Meta’s: the page defines it as a 24-hour session that starts when the first message from your business is delivered. Meta moved to per-message pricing in 2025; Zoko kept the conversation as the thing it counts. On Plus and above the page describes the included conversations as “no markup”, meaning Zoko’s platform fee covers them and Meta’s charge is the only other cost.

The lines that are not in the plan

Instagram: $9.99 a month, flat, on every plan. If your store sells through reels, this is not optional. Messenger is listed at $0.00.

Premium flows: $5.99 per flow a month. Eleven “essential” flows are free on every plan; the premium ones, including the richer abandoned-cart and reorder logic, are priced per flow, with 500,000 steps a month included and $0.0002 a step after.

AI add-ons: $24.99 each plus usage. The page lists three AI agents. One answers repeat questions from your store policies and products and one answers “where is my order?” with live tracking from the store; each is $24.99 a month plus $0.09 per resolution after the first 100 free. The selling agent is $24.99 a month plus 3% of order value after the first 100 orders.

WhatsApp itself: paid to Meta. Zoko says it “is not involved in Meta’s billing”. You attach your own payment method to Meta, and Meta charges its India rates: ₹0.8631 per marketing message and ₹0.1150 per utility, authentication or service message, with 1,000 free service messages per number each month. The upside is zero markup. The practical side is that Meta’s billing, rupee billing setup and the invoices are yours to manage; our INR billing note explains the deadline that applies.

What a month costs for a Pune Shopify store

Take a store with three people answering, 2,000 abandoned-cart and order-update conversations a month, Instagram connected, two premium flows and no AI add-ons. At about ₹85 to the dollar:

LineZoko PlusZoko Starter
Plan$79.99$49.99
ConversationsIncluded (5,000)2,000 × $0.015 = $30.00
Instagram$9.99$9.99
Two premium flows$11.98$11.98
Zoko total$101.96, about ₹8,670$101.96, about ₹8,670
Meta, 1,500 marketing + 2,500 utility messages₹1,295 + ₹288 = ₹1,583same
Month, before Indian tax treatmentabout ₹10,250about ₹10,250

Two things the arithmetic shows. At 2,000 conversations the Starter and Plus bills meet; above that, Plus is cheaper, and Starter’s unlimited agents stop mattering once you need five. And the Zoko invoice is a foreign-currency subscription: ask your accountant how it is treated for GST, because that is not on the pricing page and it changes the real cost.

Five alternatives with rupee plans

As listed on each pricing page on 7 October 2026, from our provider pricing audit. Billing periods are the first thing to check.

DoubleTick₹3,500Quarterly5₹0.99Yes
Conecxt₹2,499Monthly5, 2 numbers, web chat, 1 AI agentMeta’s rate, no markupYes

For the same Pune store, an entry plan plus message charges of roughly ₹1,600 to ₹2,000, at Meta’s rate or the provider’s own, lands between about ₹3,500 and ₹5,300 before GST, with Instagram either included or not offered depending on the provider. The Shopify tools comparison covers what each integration actually does with orders and carts, which is the other half of this decision.

Who Zoko suits

A store that lives on Shopify, sells internationally, is comfortable with a dollar subscription and wants the deepest set of ready-made commerce flows. Its pass-through of Meta’s rates is genuinely clean, and the AI add-ons are priced by outcome rather than by seat.

A store with three people in Pune, rupee invoices to reconcile, and Instagram comments to answer alongside WhatsApp will find the lines add up faster than the headline suggests, and will want a rupee plan that includes Instagram and the inbox in one price.

Where Conecxt fits: a monthly rupee plan from ₹2,499 with WhatsApp, Instagram and web chat in one inbox, Shopify orders beside the chat, Meta’s rates passed through at no markup, and no per-conversation fee.
