WhatsApp tools for Shopify stores compared: Zoko, Interakt, AiSensy and Conecxt

Four tools that connect a Shopify store to WhatsApp, compared only on what each vendor publishes: plan price, seats, what a message costs to an Indian number, and which Shopify jobs each one lists. We make one of them, and it has the shortest feature list of the four.

The short version

  • Entry prices as listed on 7 Oct 2026: Interakt from $21 a month on Shopify's app marketplace, AiSensy Basic ₹1,500 a month, Conecxt Basic ₹2,499 a month, Zoko Starter $49.99 a month.
  • Message rates differ. For a marketing message to an Indian number, Interakt's Growth plan lists ₹0.958 and AiSensy lists ₹1.09. Meta's own rate is ₹0.8631, which Zoko's rate-card pricing and Conecxt's direct Meta billing point to.
  • Zoko, Interakt and AiSensy each list abandoned cart, order update and cash-on-delivery flows for Shopify. Conecxt's Shopify set is shorter: orders beside the chat, product and payment-link sending, and one cart reminder.
  • Zoko, Interakt and AiSensy are on Shopify's app marketplace. Conecxt is not; you connect the store from inside Conecxt.
  • Work out the monthly total at your own order volume: subscription, extra seats, add-ons and message charges together.

Mridula Saikia sells single-estate Assam tea from Guwahati through a Shopify store. Five people, about 1,400 orders a month, and a third of them cash on delivery. She searched “WhatsApp for Shopify” one evening and ended up with four tabs open: Zoko, Interakt, AiSensy and Conecxt. Each pricing page uses a different unit. One charges per conversation, two publish their own rate per message, one sends you to Meta’s rate card.

We make Conecxt, one of the products compared here. Everything below about the other three comes from their own pricing pages and their own Shopify app listings, read on 7 October 2026. Where a page didn’t say something, we’ve written “not stated”.

What do Zoko, Interakt, AiSensy and Conecxt cost?

The listed entry prices run from $21 to $49.99 a month in dollars and from ₹1,500 to ₹2,499 a month in rupees, but the subscription is only one of three costs. Seats and message rates move the total more than the headline does.

Prices as listed on 7 October 2026. Some notes the table can’t hold.

Interakt publishes two price lists. Its website lists Growth at ₹2,799 a month and Advanced at ₹3,799 a month, plus taxes, with a Starter at ₹999 a month that the monthly view shows as Instagram only. But the website’s feature table says the Shopify integration is “only included on Shopify plan” and links to the App Store listing, where the plans are $21, $41, $51 and $99 a month, billed in US dollars, “plus additional WhatsApp conversation charges”.

Zoko’s plans are all in US dollars and prepaid. Its pricing page says you pay the subscription first and then recharge credits for conversations. Instagram is $9.99 a month extra.

AiSensy’s Shopify and WooCommerce integrations are listed from the Basic plan. Its Premium plan is ₹9,100 a month and includes 9 agents.

Conecxt’s trial doesn’t include AI agents or the campaign builder, so you can’t test a broadcast before paying.

What does each tool charge per WhatsApp message?

Two of the four publish their own per-message rates, which are higher than the figures on Meta’s card, and two point to Meta’s rate card. This is the line most stores skip, and at Mridula’s volume it’s worth a few hundred rupees a month.

Rates as listed on 7 October 2026. Three cautions before you compare rows.

Interakt’s and AiSensy’s pages don’t say whether their per-message rates include GST; Meta’s don’t. Interakt’s Shopify listing doesn’t state per-message rates at all, so we’ve used the website’s. And Interakt’s Enterprise plan is listed with “No Markup Charges”, at a price on request.

Zoko charges in a different unit. Its plans list WhatsApp at “rate card” and add a Zoko fee per conversation, which its page defines as a 24-hour session starting when the first business message is delivered. On Starter that fee is $0.015 on every conversation. On Plus, the first 5,000 conversations a month carry no Zoko fee, and it’s $0.00199 each after that.

For Conecxt, businesses add their own payment method in Meta Business Manager and Meta bills them at its rate card.

Mridula’s month at each rate

Take four order updates on each of 1,400 orders (5,600 utility messages) and 1,200 cart reminders, which Meta bills as marketing. These volumes are made up for the example, and typed replies are left out.

Rate usedUtility, 5,600Marketing, 1,200Message total
Meta’s rate card₹644.00₹1,035.72₹1,679.72
Interakt Growth₹840.00₹1,149.60₹1,989.60
AiSensy₹812.00₹1,308.00₹2,120.00

So the listed rates put Interakt about ₹310 and AiSensy about ₹440 above Meta’s card for the same messages. That doesn’t settle the choice on its own. AiSensy’s Basic subscription is ₹999 a month below Conecxt’s, which more than covers a ₹440 difference at this volume. At five times the volume it wouldn’t. Run the sum at your own numbers.

Which Shopify features does each one list?

Zoko, Interakt and AiSensy each list ready-made flows for abandoned carts, order updates and cash on delivery. Conecxt lists fewer Shopify jobs and puts the order next to the conversation.

“Not stated” means the pages we read didn’t mention it. It doesn’t mean the tool can’t do it, so ask.

Three details behind the table. Zoko lists 11 pre-built ecommerce flows as free on every plan, with a condition: edit one by adding or removing a step and it becomes a paid flow at $5.99 a month. AiSensy’s Shopify page describes 15 flows in three groups. Interakt’s top Shopify plan, Premier at $99 a month, adds a pop-up that collects WhatsApp numbers and Shopify actions inside its workflow builder.

Whatever the tool, the WhatsApp rules are the same. Cart reminders are marketing under Meta’s category rules, “even if requested by users”, and they can only go to shoppers who opted in. Three reminders per cart cost three times as much as one and wear on the shopper faster. Our abandoned cart playbook argues for one reminder and at most one follow-up.

Which one fits which store?

Each of the four is the better choice for a different kind of store. Going by what the vendors publish:

Zoko fits a store that wants shoppers to browse the catalogue and buy inside WhatsApp, and one that sells abroad. It bills in dollars, accepts a number from any country, and on Starter doesn’t charge per agent, which suits a large support team with modest volume.

Interakt fits a store that wants a low monthly price billed through Shopify and no seat arithmetic. $21 a month with a 14-day trial is the smallest monthly plan in this comparison, and cash-on-delivery confirmation is on its listing.

AiSensy fits a COD-heavy store that wants the lowest rupee subscription. ₹1,500 a month, six COD flows and a free plan to get the API set up first make for a cheap start. Watch the marketing rate if you plan large broadcasts.

Conecxt fits a store where the conversations matter more than the flows: a team that answers sizing, delivery and gifting questions all day and wants the order in front of them while they do.

For Mridula, with a third of her orders on COD, a COD confirmation flow is probably worth more to her this quarter than order cards beside a chat. Any of the other three lists one. If her problem were forty “where is my order” chats a day handled from one phone, the answer would tilt the other way.

How to run your own comparison

Use one month of real numbers, and ask each vendor to confirm the total in writing.

  1. Write down orders a month, the share that is COD, carts abandoned, people who reply to customers, and WhatsApp numbers.
  2. For each tool, add the subscription at that team size, any add-on you need (chatbot flows, AI agents, custom flows), and messages at that tool’s listed rates.
  3. Ask whether the per-message rates include GST, and whether the price on Shopify’s app marketplace and the price on the website buy the same plan.
  4. Install one. Place a prepaid order and a COD order to your own number before any customer sees a message.

What “integration” covers, and the order to switch things on, is in our Shopify WhatsApp integration guide. The wording for each order update and cart reminder, with the category Meta is likely to give it, is in the Shopify WhatsApp templates set. If a term here is new, the glossary defines it.

Before she picks, Mridula should count last month’s COD returns. That number decides which feature pays for itself first.

Common questions

Which WhatsApp tools work with Shopify in India?

Zoko, Interakt and AiSensy each have a listing on Shopify's app marketplace and list abandoned cart reminders, order updates and cash-on-delivery confirmation for Shopify stores. Conecxt also connects to Shopify, from inside its own app, with orders shown beside the chat, product and payment-link sending, and cart recovery.

How much does Zoko cost for a Shopify store?

Zoko's pricing page lists four plans in US dollars as of 7 October 2026: Starter at $49.99 a month, Plus at $79.99, Elite at $139.99 and Max at $499.99. Starter adds $0.015 per conversation. Plus includes 5 agents and 5,000 conversations with no Zoko conversation fee. There is a 7-day free trial.

Is Conecxt on Shopify's app marketplace?

No. Conecxt has no Shopify app listing.
